The One with the Written Word

Ever since I can remember, I have had an obsession with stationary. It's almost as big of an obsession as I have with shoes & chapstick... but not quite. Just the sight of a fun paper store sets my heart pounding and it's a rare occasion when I can walk by a beautiful notecard set and not purchase it. The problem with this obsession? I NEVER actually sit down to write to people. So my collection sits in my craft closet in a beautiful chest. This year I took a self-development class and on the first day of class we were told that one of our assignments for the semester was to write 25 "greatness notes" to people in our lives. I was thrilled for here was an excuse to actually do what I planned to do all along with my beautiful stationary collection. A funny thing happened as I started sending out these notes, people were so touched by the simple act of me taking 2 minutes out of my day to tell people how I truely felt about them. I was so impacted that my words could have such an impact and I felt truely inspired by the fact that my words carry LIFE!

And so after much prodding from others, and for some silly reason, much hesitation on my part, I have decided to start blogging again. Call it one of my many New Years Resolutions... After all the Good Book does declare that the tongue has the power of life or death...
